Rag Quilts for kiddos
Rag Quilts are SO.FUN. And the best part is the lines don't have to be perfect. In fact no one will EVER KNOW if they're not because you gotta CUT THEM UP ANYWAY~!
These projects are as simple as running the fabric through my Accuquilt Go! Machine with the Rag Die, and all I have to do is sew the front, back and middle parts together (like a sandwich), then piece together the entire quilt, wash & done. No "ragging" with rag scissors. The quickest I can have one of these done, especially if using pre-cut fabric, is 2 hours-ish.
What I love about the pre-cut 10" squares one can buy, that typically there are 42 per pack. Add that to the convenience of Accuquilt making a rag die that will cut 8.5"x8.5"... Figure, when all those are sewn and pieced together, you can typically end up with a 6 squares x 7 squares quilt, that measures 51"x59.5", which is a good size for a kiddo.
