Summertime Fun - Beach Ball Jelly Roll quilt
This was a hard one to do, but a fun one nonetheless! The bikes and ice cream theme of this amazing I followed the video tutorial from the Missouri Star Quilt Company.
Start out with a jelly roll. Pick out sets of contrasting strips to go with each other in pairs of 3.
See image below.

Snowball white background fabric onto the square. Then the yellow for the pinwheels.

NEXT.......
Press seams out for full effect.

Do this for all of your blocks.
[OMG I love how the colors are all coming together.]

Plan your quilt layout. I did mine with diagonals. Linus the cat helped.

Once quilt is planned, sew sashing on using pins to hold in place so yellow is properly lined up for full pinwheel effect.

Add an internal border to bring it all together with an accent color.
Personally, I'm a blue person. So teal it was!

Sent it off to my Long Arm quilter, (Quilting by David in St.Joseph, MO) and he quilted it with an Ice Cream cone pattern. Here is our lovely Goddaughter with the finished product!
Isn't she gorgeous?? We love her!!
